Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-08-05. FareChair LLC, Texas.

What we collect

FareChair has no accounts and no login. We do not ask for your name, address or payment details, and we never see them — those go to the marketplace you buy from, on their site.

Your browser stores a small amount of data locally so the site works: which marketplaces you have clicked in the current session, and artwork URLs we have already looked up so we do not request them twice. This lives in your browser and is cleared when you close the tab.

Location

The "Use my location" button only runs when you click it. If you allow it, your browser gives us coordinates, which we send to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to turn into a city name. We keep the city name in your browser for that session and do not store your coordinates. If you deny permission, nothing is sent and you can search by city name instead.

Third parties

To show events and prices we request data from Ticketmaster, SeatGeek and TicketNetwork. Those requests go through our own server, so your browser is not identified to them at that stage.

Event and performer artwork is displayed directly from Ticketmaster's servers. Your browser requests those images from them, which means they can see that a request was made.

When you click through to a marketplace, that site's own privacy policy applies from that point on. Some of those links carry an affiliate code identifying FareChair as the referrer.

What we do not do

We do not sell data. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not build profiles across visits, because there is nothing tying one visit to another.
